However, the EU's imposition of tariffs, starting July 5th, imposing up to 37.6% on electric vehicles manufactured and exported from China, during a four-month "window period," may affect the brand's international expansion plans. According to the EU's "anti-subsidy investigation," SAIC Group will face an additional 37.6% tariff on top of the existing 10%, while Geely and BYD will face additional tariffs of 19.9% and 17.4%, respectively.

Other Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers not subject to inspection will face an additional weighted average tariff of 20.8%, while companies not complying with inspections will face an additional 37.6% tariff.
