Volkswagen has continuously adapted to the needs of Chinese customers while supporting the growth of China’s auto industry.

As a model of Sino-German automotive collaboration, FAW-Volkswagen has played a pivotal role in Volkswagen Group’s “China localization” strategy. From a single brand and model, it has grown to offer over 30 fuel and new energy models across the Volkswagen, Audi, and Jetta brands. The company has created nearly 500,000 jobs across the industry chain and contributed over 700 billion RMB in taxes. It is also the first passenger car manufacturer in China to surpass 28 million vehicle sales. In a competitive market, FAW-Volkswagen remains committed to self-reliance and innovation, accelerating transformation to meet local demands through advancements in manufacturing, research, smart logistics, and green development.

Looking ahead, FAW-Volkswagen plans to stay at the forefront of industry trends, with a strong focus on new energy and smart connectivity. The company aims to boost development and deployment of electric and hybrid technologies, blending “German quality” with “China’s speed” to explore new paths in intelligent transformation. With these efforts, FAW-Volkswagen is set to contribute even more to the growth of China’s automotive industry.
