2024/11/06 Cars

On November 5, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai. Volkswagen Group has participated every year since the expo’s inception, and this year the company introduced six all-electric models, one classic model making its debut in China, and showcased their latest innovations in smart cockpit technology. Among these highlights, Volkswagen Anhui’s first domestically designed and produced model, the ID. UNYX, made its public debut.

The ID. UNYX features a gold Volkswagen logo and was created to set a new “gold standard” in the electric vehicle market. With a sleek design, intelligent features, agile handling, and high-quality build, the ID. UNYX is tailored for Chinese customers who value a personalized, digital driving experience.

With a new Coupe SUV design, the ID. UNYX combines German engineering with Chinese smart technology for an all-electric, intelligent driving experience. Equipped with DCC adaptive suspension, a variable steering system, and independent suspension for both front and rear, the ID. UNYX provides easy maneuverability, handling sharp turns with a minimum turning radius of just 4.7 meters.

The ID. UNYX also introduces a new AI-powered smart assistant, advanced cockpit, and a human-machine interface (HMI) for a highly interactive experience. The vehicle comes standard with the IQ. Drive intelligent driving system and multi-scene automated parking, plus Travel Assist 3.0 (L2+) driver assistance, making each journey simpler and smarter.

In addition to the ID. UNYX, Volkswagen Anhui plans to launch four more all-electric models, including SUVs and sedans, by 2026, offering more green, smart mobility options for Chinese consumers. From November 5 to 10, visitors are welcome to explore Volkswagen’s latest advancements at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Hall 2.1 in Shanghai.
